🦊🐙 hello my good foxto friends!!! this is the first ever foxtopus monthly newsletter! these will usually be released on the 25th of every month, to announce the next month’s happenings.

from today (december 25th) to january 25th, we will be hosting a holiday prompt for our special holiday currency, frosted cuttlewish!! with this currency you will be able to buy event exclusive items from the event shop!

the big theme of this event is “giving,” meaning you make more CW when you make art for other people!

here’s the simplified rules, though we suggest taking a look at the prompt for more information! (remember to click “show details” at the prompt!)

• draw a foxtopus doing something you’d associate with winter! drinking hot cocoa, setting up decorations, celebrating their winter holidays, playing in the snow, etc. etc.
• if the foxtopus in the work is not your own, you will receive a DOUBLED bonus! that’s right… DOUBLED…
• see more information directly on the prompt!

FEATURED ITEMS IN THE EVENT SHOP

seasonal apparition perfumes are now available!

what is an apparition? it’s basically an almost constant hologram-like visual that follows your foxtopus around wherever it goes! it can also be used to create illusions and decorations on the body. of course, a foxtopus can will it away whenever it wants!

foxtopi can have up to 3 active apparitions at once!

this season brings 3 seasonal apparitions, only available for this event! they can be bought at the boutique!

• O’ HOLY NIGHT: gives your foxtopus christmas imagery such as bells, boughs, holly, gingerbread men as well as golden sparkles!
• WINTER WONDERLAND: imagery that makes it appear as though it’s always snowing around your foxtopus!
• HANABI: a special visual that lets your foxtopus appear to have fireworks following it everywhere!

TUAN has graced us with some huli jing exclusive items for this season! we will be selling 2 huli jing myos, as well as 5 of a new drink called “coffin macchiato” to transform an existing foxtopus into a huli jing!

sato has also pitched in with some of our winter event shop items! we will be selling these redesign/add-on items!! :

• a regular snowcone (may give a foxtopus snow traits)
• a regular gift box (may give a foxtopus gift-traits)
• a regular poptoplushie (may give a foxtopus plush-traits)
• a regular ball of glass (may give a foxtopus glass/clear traits)

these traits will be available for this event!

HOLIDAY GACHA

on december 30th, we will be hosting our first ever gacha! and it’ll go until we run out of characters!

the gacha rolls will be $20 for the first roll. to reroll is an additional $5, and you may only reroll twice!

this gacha is 1 character per user, and if you choose to AB, you cannot roll after.

there will be a 24 hour grace period where you cannot AB on designs, to give a chance to gacha rollers!

characters won in this gacha will have a 1 month trade/sale cooldown, though swaps between fellow gacha rollers will be allowed for 2 weeks after.

gifting (to a user who can’t roll for the gacha) has no cooldown, of course! tis the season of giving :D

MYO SALES

on january 1st we will be hosting our first MYO sale event!

the USD sales will last an hour each, and will have an unlimited number of blue and green poptopus slots, with 2 slots each for king poptopus, as well as an additional SINGLE slot for a huli jing.

there will be two sales, one at 4pm PDT (https://timee.io/20220101T2300) AND one at 4pm UTC (https://timee.io/20220101T1600). we will make an announcement 30 minutes before the events start.

the USD prices for the MYO slots are as follows:

• blue : $10 / 700 CW
• green: $20 / 1800 CW
• king: $40 / 3500 CW
• huli jing: $70

we will be also holding a limited CW sale throughout the month until the slots run out!

• 5 blue poptopus/uncommon / 700 CW
• 3 green poptopus/super-rare / 1800 CW
• 1 king poptopus/legendary / 3500 CW

EDIT 1/01: the information above about the limited cw sale is now inaccurate! the cw sale will take place in a timed google form, and will have unlimited slots!

all slots are ONE PER USER and have a 2 week trade/sell cooldown.

❗ from this sale onwards, we will be applying a MYO slot limit to prevent hoarding. each user is only allowed to have 5 UNUSED slots at once. to keep track of this, all character transfers done through the site will now have to be approved by an admin.

UPDATE LOG

1. fixed art appraisal calculations

• doodle pages (aka 5+ characters on one page with little to no interactions) will now have a different system to prevent hoarding of cuttlewish
• character multiplier has been reduced from x2 to +100 per character
• past submissions that fall under the doodle page category have been appraised with the new system, and cuttlewishes in people's inventories have been reduced- this is to make the system fairer to everyone

2. USD SHOP (aka sato's sneaky stockroom)

we now have an onsite shop that lets you buy with real life currency! at the moment it has all of our currently available regular trait items as well as a bundle of our winter event items!

3. january GUEST ARTISTS and guest artist system update

due to the amount of site artists (formerly permanent guest artists) we have, we've modified our guest artist system.

• 2 guest artists will be chosen  per month to participate in an adopt batch with 6 random site artists
• these 2 guest artists will also be allowed to auction off 1 special adopt each

we've already dmed our picks from the january applications and informed them of this beforehand! we will open february guest artist applications in the 2nd week of january, and we will select 2 from there as well!

event updates

• all huli jing related items (coffin macchiato, foxto in a glass) will now be raffle sales! we will hold a raffle in the discord server, and the winners get to purchase it. this is to make it fair to everyone in different timezones.

• we've redone the event prompt appraisal system! the changes are as follows:

  • you can submit a maximum of 10 pieces to be appraised for the whole event.
  • pieces appraised for the event cannot be appraised for regular cuttlewish.
  • if there are different character sizes shown in the piece (ie 1 character is drawn bust up, another thigh up), only the biggest size will be counted.
  • rewards for writing have been adjusted to make it more equivalent to the effort it takes to write! bonuses such as extra characters also apply!
  • staff/npc bonus and holiday gift bonus do not stack!

• the winter bundle item will give a random reward! the possible rewards are 2 random winter event items (seasonal apparitions included) OR 100!

• seasonal apparitions have been added to the event shop! they cost 80 each.

• after the event ends, frosted cuttlewish will be converted to regular cuttlewish! the conversion rate will be 2= 1 

art appraisal updates

• starting january, there will be a limit of 4 submissions per month. we've created a new prompt and a new category in the gallery to help us keep track of this. please only submit your best pieces!

• note that this doesn't apply to art in general! feel free to submit as much as you want to the gallery! we are simply limiting what can be appraised for cw.

• we will be bringing the art appraisal milestones back to 0 as well. past cw earned will stay with you, but from january onwards everyone will start from the beginning!

• we've adjusted the system (again...)

  • writing rewards have been adjusted, and bonuses will also apply!
  • staff/npc bonus will no longer stack.

• because of the adjustments, we've rejected the submissions currently in the queue. please either submit them again or wait for january! thank you for your patience!

i’ve taken it upon myself to clear up some of these misconceptions, to give a better understanding of what’s going on and hopefully ease some worries.

Monthly Limit

as you (probably) know, recently we implemented into our art appraisal system, a monthly limit to how many submissions you may send to the prompt. i’m going to answer some concerns regarding this change.

“So we can’t post art to the site anymore/draw our foxtopi anymore?”

not at all. it was never our intention to stop you from continuing to participate, the monthly limit is ONLY on the amount of submissions sent to the art appraisal prompt.

“Why the change?”

as an ARPG the foxtopus species at current has very little to offer regarding items and anything else that can be sold for our group currency. to note, the original system i created was meant to serve 150 members or less, which was why it was so easily exploited in the past. the changes were meant to happen gradually, but with the species growth we had to change things fast instead. this is by no means a bad thing, it’s just a bit of a surprise we had to adjust to as soon as possible. so in short, we don’t want this to get boring right out the gate. which is what farming can do to a species with very little to buy and use group currency for.

“So we’ll never be able to submit more than 4 submissions a month?”

no, this is a temporary limit as we work to make more ways to use your group currency beyond redesign items and MYOs. currently staff has many plans in the works and while we are working as fast as we can, we need patience from everyone as we work things out and make sure they are as functional as we can possibly get them before release.

The Winter Event

as we are a new species, we are still working things out which is why much needed to be changed within the first few days of the event happening. i understand how these changes may be disheartening, especially since we did have to take items away, but it is in our best interest to make everything about events fairground for everyone as we feature limited items.

it is important to keep in mind that this is not the only opportunity to receive these limited items and that there will always be opportunities in the future.

i can’t force anyone to believe me when i say this but every change we make is in favor of fairness in the species as well as making this an enriching and fun experience for everyone. we hope that you will continue to support us in the future and understand the changes that need to be made in order to make this species work. we also hope you’ll look forward to the projects we have coming in the future.

here is how the gacha will work:

FIRST ROLL: $20, REROLLS: +$5 EACH

• the first hour you can claim your rolls (there are 60 rolls available, ONE per person)
  • CLAIMING/statement that you are claiming

  • when you want to claim a roll, fill out this form:
  • you can claim for a friend, just make sure it is a separate comment and that you use this form instead:
• once all of the rolls are claimed or the first hour has passed, we will roll all at once for the first roll.
• afterwards, we will ask if you’d like to keep your prize, or if you’d like to reroll.
  • you can reroll up to TWO times.
  • you are allowed to drop your rolls, meaning you do not have to pay for the rolls you took. HOWEVER, this means you are forfeiting your rolled characters and cannot roll afterwards nor can you autobuy.
• after the first roll, we will allow auto buys (if there are unused rolls available)
  • after the first round of rolls, we will take unclaimed rolls and ABs as FCFS
  • if you chose to roll, you cannot autobuy.
  • if you choose to autobuy, you cannot roll after your purchase.
• after confirming your payment, we will transfer the character over to you on the site. 
  • please wait for the designer to transfer the design to you on toyhouse.
• all gacha adopts will have a ONE MONTH TRADE/RESELL COOLDOWN
  • we will allow SWAPS (gacha adopt to gacha adopt ONLY) for two weeks after all the adopts have been claimed! there will be a news post to allow you to post your offers.
  • gifting an adopt to someone who cant roll is allowed!

here are some other things to note about the gacha:

• only foxtop.us users may participate in this gacha, meaning that you must have a foxtop.us account in order to participate. you cannot claim a roll for someone who does not have a foxtop.us account.

hello foxto friends! it’s almost our first monthly myo sales event!!! here are some rules to keep in mind:

1. only 1 slot per person for the entire sales event.
2. you must pay within 24 hours of receiving an invoice or confirmation. failure to pay means your slot will be forfeited and you will receive a warning.
3. you can only buy 1 slot every 2 months! if you get a slot during the january sale, you won’t be able to get one for the feb sale!
4. you can only have 5 unused myo slots at a time.

because we’re expecting a decent volume of sales, we’ll spread the sales events over three days! here’s how things will go:

JANUARY 1 

CW SALES WAVE 1 AND 2

each wave will last 5 minutes, but will have unlimited slots. we will have you fill out a google form with your site username, discord username (optional), and your order (selected from a multiple choice option.)

starting right at 12am UTC (see here), we will start the raffle sales! there will be 3 raffles in total:

1. foxto spirit in a bottle (aka huli jing myo)

• 1 to be sold for $70
• 2 to be sold for 150 frosted cuttlewish

• 2 to be sold for $40
• 1 to be sold for 3500cw

• 5 to be sold for 80 frosted cuttlewish

the sales will be held in the raffle-sales channel in the server! all raffles will last for 24 hours.

again, if you got a slot during the sales (cw and usd), you cannot join the raffle sales for the foxto spirit in a bottle and king poptopus!  however, everyone can join the raffle for the coffin macchiato ^^

JANUARY 3 

RAFFLE SALES WINNERS

at jan 3 12am UTC (see here), we will roll the winners for the raffle sales! we will dm you on discord for your site username (and paypal email for usd sales). 

if you do not pay within 24 hours of receiving an invoice/order confirmation, your slot will be forfeited and we will reroll.

QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE

Q: i want to join the raffle sale for the king poptopus/legendary slot, but what if i don’t win? can i buy a slot during the other sales just in case?

A: unfortunately no! you’ll have to test your luck.

Q: what if i had more than 5 myo slots before the limit was announced?

A: you can transfer them to a mod so we’ll be the ones to figure out what to do with it!

Q: if i buy a slot during the cw/usd sales, are you sure i really can’t join the raffle sales for the king poptopus?

A: yes, you can’t. this is to make it fair to people who want to have a chance at the king popto!

Q: if i buy a slot but then trade it away, can i buy a slot the next month?

A: nope! the limit is for buying. no matter what you do to the slot after that, you cannot buy slots in monthly sales back to back.

as of today we are implementing a new trait system, not much has changed, we’ve simply crunched the existing traits into the same rarity (ie. most of the uncommon traits are now in common, and the super-rare traits have been split into legendary and rare).

we’ve also implemented a “step” system which lets you build your foxtopus like a make-it-your-way menu.

to better fairly categorize characters into rarities, we’ve decided to consider the rarity of a foxtopus by 4 or more of the same rarity traits.

these changes were made so that it’s easier to categorize and less confusing to determine rarities.

atm we are still getting rid of traits and making fixes, so please be patient with us

REDESIGN SHOP

we are now adding smaller redesign items to the shop, for color and marking changes mostly, but we hope to add more soon!

Applications for monthly guest artists are open again! Please fill out the form here if you’re interested. We’ll close the form on the 28th at 12pm UTC, so we can review the applicants and announce them by March 3rd!

SERVER EMOJI AND STICKER CONTEST

For the month of March, we’ll be holding a server-exclusive contest where you can design NPC emojis and stickers! Submissions will be open from March 2nd to March 25th, and once all entries are in, we’ll compile them into a Google form for anonymous voting.

Of course, as this is a contest, we have cool prizes to look out for! There will be separate winners for EMOJI and STICKER entries:

• FIRST PLACE: king poptopus
• SECOND PLACE: green poptopus
• THIRD PLACE: blue poptopus
• HONORABLE MENTION: 1500 CW
• STAFF CHOICE (UP TO 3): 1000 CW

Also, all participants will receive 500cw as thanks. More details will be in the server, so check it out if you’d like to join!

OTHER UPDATES AND REMINDERS

1. The monthly art appraisal limit will be reset on March 1st! Once again, you’re allowed to submit a maximum for 4 pieces to the art appraisal prompt, but submitting to the gallery has no limit.
2. Remember that submitting MYO approvals to the Discord isn’t required, it’s just faster, especially if you have any questions/confusion with traits. Submitting to the site is required though, for masterlist purposes. You can post your Foxtopus to other sites once it's been approved on this site.
3. Starting in March, we'll be holding Foxto Lore Saturdays in the server! Every Saturday, we'll give a prompt that you can answer to develop your Foxtopus. As a bonus, your first answer to every prompt will give you 50 . Once again, there's more info in the server, so do check it out.
4. From now on, we will be purging ads in the server.  After 30 days, ads will be automatically deleted.

Hello everyone! This month’s newsletter is going to have a bunch of updates, so please read through everything.

AN EXPLANATION

First off, I’d like to let you all (formally) know that Uhe will be inactive until further notice, because he’s busy with real-life obligations. In the meantime, the species will be handled by me, Max!

Recently, us staff have been trying out different changes for the species, and I want you all to know that we are well aware that things are getting a bit confusing, and we’re doing our best to fix things up. I’d like to thank you all for being so patient and understanding while we’re ironing things out with the species! Your support means a lot to all of us. We’re working on making this community more engaging for all members, so I hope you can all come to enjoy the species more.

OFFICIAL TIMEZONE CHANGE

The official timezone for events will now be UTC+0. With this change, MYO sales will now start at 12pm UTC (see what time it is for you here), since it’s easier for me. UTC is also the time zone that the site functions in, so this will just make things more consistent.

OFFICIAL EVENT CALENDAR

To keep track of events better, we now have an official calendar hosted on Google! You can view it here. It’ll regularly be updated with upcoming events, and it should show events in your timezone.

ADOPT SYSTEM UPDATES

First, I’d like to thank everyone for filling out the form! Thanks to all your input, we’ve decided the best fixes for the adopt system will be:

1. How the sales will be posted/handled, and 
2. Alternating staff and guest artist adopts.

As you’ve all seen with the staff adopts, instead of waiting for the artists to post individually in the server, we’ll be posting the adopts for sale all together as a set in the server, on the site, and in the TH world. There will be separate threads (for the server), and comments (for the site and TH world) for buyers to bid on, and the staff will keep track of bids across all areas. This will keep everything more organized, and make it easier for buyers and the artists alike.

We’ve also decided to alternate months for staff and guest artists. Zodiac and Shēng Xiāo adopts will still go up every month, but the rest of the staff adopt sets will now be released every other month!

There will be no guest artist applications for next month, as this April will be for staff adopts! Again, thank you so much for your patience with these new updates.

MARCH ADOPT BATCH

On March 28th, these guest artist adopts will be up for sale! Many thanks to ghostberry, yatsu, and ruyi for working with us this month.

As always, patrons get access to these previews unshadowed, and Tier 3 patrons also get a monthly free adopt raffle!

Simply draw Sato celebrating his birthday— feel free to include other NPCs, or even your own Foxto. And as another special bonus, for this prompt only, you’ll get both the NPC bonus and monthly prompt bonus!

Also, all monthly prompt entries for April will be entered into a raffle to receive this special chibi adopt by staff member Lyonov!

SERVER EMOJI CONTEST VOTING

The server emoji contest is now done, so it’s time to vote for your favorites! All entries will be added to the server, of course, this voting form will just determine who receives special prizes. All votes will be kept anonymous.

Hello Foxto friends, time for the FREE WINTER MYO EVENT!

Sorry for the delay in releasing this bulletin! The site currently has some small errors which we've been working on, but they're taking more time than we anticipated. Here's what's currently glitching out:

• • Random loot boxes (CUTTLESTICK, GOODIE BAG, BLUE RING MOONSHINE, etc.) are giving out more rewards than expected. For the CUTTLESTICK and GOODIE BAG, you're free to keep the extra Cuttlewish. For stuff like BLUE RING MOONSHINE which gives out actual items, please just donate the extras instead!

• The CASH SHOP is currently "closed" (no items for sale), so we can figure out some PayPal stuff.
• There was an error where you couldn't use coupons for a while, but this has been fixed!

Thank you everyone for your patience and understanding! We just recently updated the site tech-wise, so some things are still a bit wonky. Hopefully we'll have everything sorted out before 2023.

Also a small update/correction with the last newsletter! I made a mistake and wrote that "All art submissions must now be submitted to the gallery first. Submissions that link to anywhere else (Discord, Sta.sh, Toyhouse, etc) will be rejected!" would come into effect on May 1.

This change is effective immediately. This means that if you'd like to submit something to any prompt, please make sure to submit to the gallery first! Here's a guide on how to do that if you're confused :D

Both gachas will be limited to 2 rolls+2 rerolls per person. More detailed rules will be released in the newsletter,  we're just giving everyone a heads up, especially for  those who'd like to join the CW gacha!

In this announcement, I'd like to explain some things to everyone. We made this gacha so that people who don't have the IRL money to participate in CS gachas can also have fun rolling. Considering the species activity before this, we didn't expect such a sudden influx of activity, and expected that the CW gacha would run smoothly as the USD gacha yesterday which had the same rules. We understand the excitement about the gacha, and we're glad that everyone is hyped and ready to support, but we weren't prepared for the sudden influx of demands about the rules that worked just fine before.

Please remember that we run these gachas in our spare time, and this specific one is being ran for free. We just want our community to have fun and be able to participate in events with species currency, but please be considerate and patient for the people running this behind the scenes. We understand where a lot of the complaints and suggestions are coming from, and we will be taking them into account for the future. However, we have been overwhelmed by the sheer influx of comments, and please know that the gacha rolling is being done by one person for free. We are not a company who can easily automate gacha systems.

We hope that the next time we run a CW gacha, everyone will be more patient and considerate and read over the rules carefully to avoid something like this happening again.

SPACETACULAR GACHA UPDATE

After a lot of discussion, we’ve decided to have a do-over with the CW gacha with new rules. The new rules are as follows:

1. The gacha will be hosted on the foxtop.us site, so we can have more control.
2. The gacha and these new rules will be posted on May 5, 2:30am UTC, and there will be a one hour viewing window to make sure everyone understands the rules.
3. Comments will open on 3:30am UTC.
4. There will only be one roll per person, and no rerolls. We will open a swap bulletin afterwards for people who want to trade adopts!
5. Once we have reached 20 comments, we will immediately start rolling. This is to keep things easier for us.

We made some changes to our affiliation requirements! They are as follows:

1. The species/ARPG must be fully fleshed out. We will not consider startup species or species concepts.
2. Owner(s) and majority of staff must be over 18.
3. The main species info/hub should be easily viewable without an account/without joining. (This means we will no longer accept purely Discord-based species!)

MOUTH SHAPE TRAITS REMOVAL

Just a reminder that mouth shape traits are no longer required when submitting a Foxtopus. The traits SCRAGGY, PUPPY, and SMILE have been removed, and you can now draw mouths as you please. The other traits such as MULTIPLE MOUTHS, LAMPREY, and NO MOUTH, are still active and can be used.

NEW PROMPT: BOUNTY

We’re going to have a new prompt soon, BOUNTY! In this prompt, you’ll be able to draw the month's featured Foxtopus for a flat reward of 100 CW. You can submit one piece of art for the prompt EVERY WEEK, for a maximum of four possible submissions. This means that you won’t be able to submit multiple at once, so keep that in mind.

As for how we’ll choose the Bounty Foxtopus; every newsletter, we will open applications for next month’s bounty. From the applications, we’ll choose a random Foxtopus through random number rolling. The selected Foxtopus will be announced the 1st of every month, and they’ll also be featured on the site’s sidebar for the whole month. The prompt will officially open after the first BOUNTY is announced.

RULES UPDATE: TRANSFERRING A FOXTOPUS

Please remember that all people who own a Foxtopus must have an account on the official site! If trading/selling to someone else, please make sure they have an account and that you transfer them properly. If you received a Foxtopus, and the previous owner isn't able to transfer it to you on the site, please let us know immediately. People who transfer Foxtopi to those without an account will receive a strike. Remember that the site acts as the masterlist, and it's important that the ownership history matches up.

BOUNTY FOXTOPUS

Due to the newsletter delay, we rolled a new BOUNTY Foxtopus from the previous form. The next form will be open for a month (ish) to compensate!
This prompt will be active starting October 1st, 12pm UTC.

The BOUNTY Foxtopus for this month is Nori, say hi! (Site/TH).

Curious by instinct, but hunter by nature. To simply put about Nori,  they are a wandering hermit, trying to find a place to settle. Somewhere  cold and dark as the sun rays hurt their sensitive eyes. They don't  really own anything to their name, besides the occasional dumpster  diving that is the ocean (and sometimes the surface). They don't talk  much either, but if they don't like what you're saying they will let you know.

NOVEMBER NEWSLETTER

Hello hello everyone! The 2023 HALLOWEEN GACHA is coming soon! There are 91 USD adopts and 50 CW adopts, for a grand total of 141 adopts!!!

CW GACHA

The CW gacha will be the first one we open on October 28, 1:45am UTC (See what time that is for you here.)
We'll also have a new system for it!

We'll open a Google form where you will fill in your site username and agree to the rules. The form will be open for 24 hours. After closing the form, we'll check that you have to CW to participate. Once that's confirmed, we'll randomize the names 5 times, then we'll go down the list of adopts and rolling for a number from the Google form, until we run out of adopts. Hopefully this way everyone has an equally random chance to get rolled for a CW adopt!

To make it clear, this means that there will be no rerolls allowed, and each person who submits a form entry has a random chance of receiving an adopt.

Here's a summary of the CW gacha rules.

1. Each roll will be 200 CW. You are expected to already have the CW ready before filling up the form. Anyone asking or trying to trade for CW on the day itself will be barred from joining the gacha, and will receive a warning. Also, anyone found to have joined without the necessary CW will be barred from joining the gacha, and will receive a warning.
2. The gacha will be hosted through a Google form. The Google form will be open for 24 hours.
3. After the form closes, we will randomize the entries 5 times. We will then go per adopt and roll for a random number from the list of people who wanted to join.
4. The results of the CW gacha will be posted on October 30, with a live link to the randomized entries for transparency.

USD GACHA

The USD gacha will open on October 31, 1:45am UTC. (See what time that is for you here. The rules will be similar to past USD gachas, with a few changes, as shown below.

1. Rolls are $20, and then $10 for each reroll ($5 to the skipped adopt, $5 to the claimed adopt.). AB’s are $50.
2. You can roll two times, and reroll up to two times each roll. You can only AB one adopt. If you AB, you can still roll once!
3. Staff, affiliates, and GAs are allowed to roll+reroll, but they cannot AB.
4. The first 15 minutes will be just for viewing the gacha image and rules, and no AB or roll will be honored during this time.
5. Please keep an eye on the comments, and wait for my specific comments to know when you can AB or roll! Comments that do not follow the rules will be ignored.
6. After the 5 minutes viewing time is up, AB will be open for 1 hour. No rolls will be honored during the AB claiming time. After I comment that AB claims are closed, AB will not be honored.
7. Comments will be rolled on a FCFS basis. After I roll, I will reply to you with the adopt you got, you will have 6 hours to reply, otherwise you will be skipped and the adopt you rolled will be put back in the pool.
8. You can claim a roll for a friend, just make sure to @ them in your comment. They will still have to respond/pay within 6 hours. You can only ask one person to claim an AB or roll for you. If we notice multiple people trying to claim for one person, all comments for that person will be ignored!
9. Once you claim an adopt, I'll give you the PayPal email/link of the artist! You have 6 hours to pay, and once you pay, please PM me on Toyhouse or Discord (artbymaxm) with proof!
10. This time, due to the sheer amount of adopts, there will be no swap bulletins after the gacha. The adopts will have a regular 2-week cooldown, after which you can trade them like normal.

BOUNTY FOXTOPUS

The BOUNTY Foxtopus for this month is Saiph, say hi! (Site/TH).

She keeps to herself. They always pay attention to their interactions with people, however, because they find joy in having conversations. Saiph is a starry-eyed romantic. She finds people fascinating and is always forming crushes and attachments, although they never seem to last. They love exercising and pride themself on staying fit.

We've updated the Art Appraisal criterion to hopefully make it easier to understand. We've also made a visual guide for you to refer to! You can also access it under IMPORTANT in the navigation bar.

PALESTINE FUNDRAISING + AWARENESS EVENT

As news on the genocide in Palestine begins to dwindle, it is more important than ever to reach new audiences and keep the topic on the forefront. To keep the conversation alive and the people of Gaza heard, Foxtopus will host an event to give incentive to donate as well as spread awareness of the situation.

From April 15th to May 15th, we will be hosting an “E-Sims for Gaza” style MYO sale event (with a few add-ons!). On top of this, we will be releasing an adopt batch later during the event and we are looking for more guest artists to participate! If you are interested in applying to participate in the careforgaza adopt event, please follow this link.

More information will be available on April 15th, so please keep an eye out for instructions on how to redeem prizes then!

BOUNTY FOXTOPUS

The BOUNTY Foxtopus for this month is Yuito, say hi! (Site/TH).

Shy but also surprisingly sassy, he's someone who says no to the unknown and doesn't like to try new things. Yuito is a shut-in type most comfortable when he's alone in his room.

Note: must be drawn with his mask covering his nose + mouth, he doesn't like showing his whole face and always wears it.

The Foxtopus Palestine Support Event Has Begun!

The Foxtopus Palestine Support Event has begun!
In this event we will be providing Special MYO packages in exchange for evidence of E-Sims being sent to the E-Sims for Gaza cause. Please purchase through NOMAD and follow the instructions listed on the E-Sims for Gaza site. There are several tiers available for this.

Later in the month, we also plan to host an adopt batch to raise funds for CareForGaza on Twitter.
We hope you all consider participating in spreading the word and donating to the cause!

careforgaza adopts + custom auction

Thank you so much to those who participated in our Gaza awareness event.

Continuing into June, while we will be closing the free participation event for the time being, we’ll still be hosting our E-Sims for Gaza support event. Buy an E-sim, and receive a special package with a Poptopus and other goodies! You can see more details in the previous news announcement here.

To continue our Palestine Support Event, we will be auctioning off charity adopts on June 20!

These adopts will be up for auction on Toyhouse to make it easier to communicate with the winners on how to pay. This is because all winning bids will pay directly to Care for Gaza’s Paypal, ensuring that they receive all the profits. You will be given the link privately along with additional instructions.

We will also be having a Slotless Custom Auction by artbymaxm on June 25.

Again, all proceeds will be donated directly to Care for Gaza. The rarity and traits that can be used will be determined by the winning bid.

DECEMBER NEWSLETTER

Well... Hello Foxto friends!

We've been really busy with IRL stuff the past weeks, so we'll keep it short!

HALLOWEEN GACHA ADOPT CLAIMS

The unclaimed adopts from the Halloween gacha have been sent back to their artists. Please reach out to them if you're interested! Regular Foxtopi rules still apply, but now the artists will be the ones to decide what to do with the adopts. (Keep, gift, trade, sell, etc...)  Please respect the artist's decision and boundaries when making offers!

12 DAYS OF ADOPT-MAS

There will be no Advent Calendar this year, due to time constraints. However, we'll have a 12 Days of Adopt-mas event instead!

From December 14, 12:00pm UTC to December 25, 12:00pm UTC, we'll be holding a raffle for a free adopt every day. Free adopt means you don't need to pay anything to enter, not even Cuttlewish! The only requirement is that you have an account on the website ^_^ More info and additional rules will be given when the first adopt is revealed.

Here's the first raffle for 12 DAYS OF ADOPT-MAS! Meet Cozy Cocoa by artbymaxm and uhenishi.

RULES:

1. All raffles will last for 23 hours, to give us time to gather entries and roll the winner. The winner will be announced when the next adopt is announced.
2. These raffles are free. No payment of any kind is required.
3. You can join multiple raffles, but will only be able to win once. Once you win, you cannot join the rest of the raffles for this event.
4. Since these adopts are free raffles, you are only allowed to gift them, unless you add value with commissioned art or high-quality personal art.
5. To join a raffle, simply comment following the form on the site news post. Comments not following the form will not be counted, however, you have until the raffle ends to edit your post to fit the form, if ever. Comments on the Toyhouse bulletin will not be counted.
6. Results will be rolled using the on-site Raffle function. When the raffle time is up, we will close comments for the relevant news post, and then add all legitimate entries to the raffle.

As an added thanks, please claim a HOLIDAY PACKAGE in Cuddle's Samples, under the EVENT tab. The packages will be available to claim until January 1, 2025, 12AM UTC. Be sure to grab one before then.

BLUE POPTOPUS SALE UPDATE

Blue Poptopus is now available to purchase with CW in KISS CAFÉ! You can buy once a month, even during months where we don’t have MYO sales. We will still be selling Blue Poptopus for USD during the Google Form MYO sales, but for CW, we will only be selling it through KISS CAFÉ. Green and King Poptopus will still be MYO sale (GForm) only.

ADOPTS BUMP

They'll be on January 10, 12pm UTC, and be open for 24 hours.

The USD and CW prices for the MYO slots are as follows:

• Blue Poptopus: $10 / 700 CW IN THE SHOP
  
• Green Poptopus: $20 / 1800 CW
• King Poptopus: $40 / 3500 CW

All slots are 1 per user, and have a 2 week cooldown.

🎨 MONTHLY ARTISTS

There will be no Monthly Artist applications for this month.

For clarification, this issue is with new accounts only who haven't verified their email yet.

To try and combat the spam, registrations to the site will be closed for the time being, and will rely on invite keys. However, these invite keys can only be generated by admins, so again, please approach me for these.

We're trying to figure out how to deal with this, but rest assured we'll give updates when they happen.

Good news everyone! We've updated some of the site's backend, so registrations are open again (aka you don't need an invite code), and email verification should be working now! When registering a new account, you'll be asked to verify your email right then, so this should vastly reduce spam bots.

We're still working on cleaning up the bot accounts, thank you for your patience.
