Leeway fell down to the ocean from space!
he doesn't know why and doesn't really elaborate much.
He sometimes speaks of a big space city where he used to live,
but also is adamant that he can't go back anymore.
whether this is his own opinion or fact is... a little hard to tell with his age!

Regardless; Killick, self proclaimed guardian of the sea, took Leeway
under his care as soon as he found the little guy drifiting safely about the waters.
Currently he lives a nice life with Killick, learning how to keep the sea clean and safe!
On the sidelines, Killick is trying to recover any clues on the true whereabouts
of this child's possible previous family and if he should try to get him back to a home
Leeway himself says he can't go back to... in due time this little big mystery will be solved!
