Sunny Summer!

Draw your Foxtopus enjoying the summer heat! If you don't have a Foxto of your own yet, feel free to draw one of our NPCs, or ask someone if you can draw theirs!

You can submit up to 2 entries for the theme, and you'll get a bonus of 150CW! The gift/staff bonus will also count, so you can get up to 250CW as a bonus!
(For those who submitted for last month's theme, we've sent out the extra 50CW— so sorry for the inconvenience.)

mermay adopt gacha

This May, we'll be having a Mermay-themed adopt gacha, with a twist! All adopts will be previewed as Poptopi, and you'll only get to see the design if you roll, like a semi-blind or easter egg gacha.


Such a mysterious poptopus, wow... (Not a final preview, thankfully!)

The gacha will be held on May 28th, with the time to be announced later ^^)/ There'll also be some Foxto Spirit in a Bottle and King Poptopus MYOs up for grabs in the gacha!!

Hello Foxto friends! Here’s what’s coming up for May!

GUEST ARTIST APPLICATIONS

Guest artist applications are open for May! We’re going to have a gacha event, so we’ll be looking for around 5 guest artists! Fill up the form here to apply, and we’ll be announcing our picks come May 1st or earlier.

More details about the adopt gacha event will be released soon.

MYO SALES

We will be holding another MYO sale on May 1st! The sale will last for 24 hours and include all rarities excluding Huli Jing.

The sale will start at 12pm UTC (see what time that is for you here).

The USD and CW prices for the MYO slots are as follows:

• blue: $10 / 700 CW
• green: $20 / 1800 CW
• king: $40 / 3500 CW

All slots are ONE PER USER and have a 2 week trade/sell cooldown.

May will be a relatively more relaxed month, as we’re gearing up for the opening of the Deviantart group in June! There’ll be a free MYO event, as well as a fun raffle, so keep an eye out for more updates!

APRIL NEWSLETTER

Hello everyone! This month’s newsletter is going to have a bunch of updates, so please read through everything.

AN EXPLANATION

First off, I’d like to let you all (formally) know that Uhe will be inactive until further notice, because he’s busy with real-life obligations. In the meantime, the species will be handled by me, Max!

Recently, us staff have been trying out different changes for the species, and I want you all to know that we are well aware that things are getting a bit confusing, and we’re doing our best to fix things up. I’d like to thank you all for being so patient and understanding while we’re ironing things out with the species! Your support means a lot to all of us. We’re working on making this community more engaging for all members, so I hope you can all come to enjoy the species more.

OFFICIAL TIMEZONE CHANGE

The official timezone for events will now be UTC+0. With this change, MYO sales will now start at 12pm UTC (see what time it is for you here), since it’s easier for me. UTC is also the time zone that the site functions in, so this will just make things more consistent.

OFFICIAL EVENT CALENDAR

To keep track of events better, we now have an official calendar hosted on Google! You can view it here. It’ll regularly be updated with upcoming events, and it should show events in your timezone.

ADOPT SYSTEM UPDATES

First, I’d like to thank everyone for filling out the form! Thanks to all your input, we’ve decided the best fixes for the adopt system will be:

1. How the sales will be posted/handled, and 
2. Alternating staff and guest artist adopts.

As you’ve all seen with the staff adopts, instead of waiting for the artists to post individually in the server, we’ll be posting the adopts for sale all together as a set in the server, on the site, and in the TH world. There will be separate threads (for the server), and comments (for the site and TH world) for buyers to bid on, and the staff will keep track of bids across all areas. This will keep everything more organized, and make it easier for buyers and the artists alike.

We’ve also decided to alternate months for staff and guest artists. Zodiac and Shēng Xiāo adopts will still go up every month, but the rest of the staff adopt sets will now be released every other month!

There will be no guest artist applications for next month, as this April will be for staff adopts! Again, thank you so much for your patience with these new updates.

MARCH ADOPT BATCH

On March 28th, these guest artist adopts will be up for sale! Many thanks to ghostberry, yatsu, and ruyi for working with us this month.

As always, patrons get access to these previews unshadowed, and Tier 3 patrons also get a monthly free adopt raffle!

With those announcements done, here’s what’s coming up for April! 

SATO’S BIRTHDAY BASH

🎉🎉April 1st is Sato’s birthday, so we have a bunch of stuff lined up for the whole month to celebrate!🎉🎉

MYO SALES - CHANCE FOR 50% OFF!

For April’s MYO sales, the first 20 people to submit their purchase form will get to pay half price! This applies to both USD and CW purchases, meaning 20 people for USD purchases, and 20 people for CW purchases.

We’ve released 50% off coupons that you can use for all the Cuttlewish shops! (Kiss Café, Boutique : 효린 !! ☆, and Beauty by Jumin.) Everyone can get up to 5 coupons for free, and they’ll be available in Kiss Café. Here’s how the coupons work:

1. Each member can have a maximum of 5 coupons.
2. The coupons can be claimed until April 31.
3. The coupons are one-time use, meaning you can get 50% off for one item at a time.
4. The coupons do not stack.
5. The coupons do not expire, so once you have them, you can use them whenever!

INTRODUCING: SPECIAL MONTHLY PROMPTS

To make art submissions a little more fun, we’ll be having special monthly prompts! You can submit one themed artwork per month, and each piece will get a special bonus of 150  in the art appraisal! This applies to both drawing and writing.

This month’s theme is Sato’s Birthday Bash! 

Simply draw Sato celebrating his birthday— feel free to include other NPCs, or even your own Foxto. And as another special bonus, for this prompt only, you’ll get both the NPC bonus and monthly prompt bonus!

Also, all monthly prompt entries for April will be entered into a raffle to receive this special chibi adopt by staff member Lyonov!

SERVER EMOJI CONTEST VOTING

The server emoji contest is now done, so it’s time to vote for your favorites! All entries will be added to the server, of course, this voting form will just determine who receives special prizes. All votes will be kept anonymous.

You can vote here! The form will close on March 31st, 12pm UTC, and we’ll share the results in the server on April 1st.

Hello! We've updated how rewards will be calculated for writing submitted to the Art Appraisal Center!

Basically,

• Less than 500 words = 75
• 500 words = 100
• For anything over 500; divide by 500, and then multiply by 100 to get the reward. Any decimals will be rounded up.

Rewards for writing appraised before this change will remain unchanged, but this will apply to all writing submissions from now on! Thank you so much!

On February 28th, we will have another batch of adopts up for sale! This batch includes designs by:

• Staff members Junmien, CharsWorld, and chuupew from the special Uncut Crystallines set, which will be released every other month!

MYO SALES

Applications for monthly guest artists are open again! Please fill out the form here if you’re interested. We’ll close the form on the 28th at 12pm UTC, so we can review the applicants and announce them by March 3rd!

SERVER EMOJI AND STICKER CONTEST

For the month of March, we’ll be holding a server-exclusive contest where you can design NPC emojis and stickers! Submissions will be open from March 2nd to March 25th, and once all entries are in, we’ll compile them into a Google form for anonymous voting.

Of course, as this is a contest, we have cool prizes to look out for! There will be separate winners for EMOJI and STICKER entries:

• FIRST PLACE: king poptopus
• SECOND PLACE: green poptopus
• THIRD PLACE: blue poptopus
• HONORABLE MENTION: 1500 CW
• STAFF CHOICE (UP TO 3): 1000 CW

Also, all participants will receive 500cw as thanks. More details will be in the server, so check it out if you’d like to join!

OTHER UPDATES AND REMINDERS

1. The monthly art appraisal limit will be reset on March 1st! Once again, you’re allowed to submit a maximum for 4 pieces to the art appraisal prompt, but submitting to the gallery has no limit.
2. Remember that submitting MYO approvals to the Discord isn’t required, it’s just faster, especially if you have any questions/confusion with traits. Submitting to the site is required though, for masterlist purposes. You can post your Foxtopus to other sites once it's been approved on this site.
3. Starting in March, we'll be holding Foxto Lore Saturdays in the server! Every Saturday, we'll give a prompt that you can answer to develop your Foxtopus. As a bonus, your first answer to every prompt will give you 50 . Once again, there's more info in the server, so do check it out.
4. From now on, we will be purging ads in the server.  After 30 days, ads will be automatically deleted.

we've opened up a CUTTLEWISH CONVERSION CENTER, where you can do that easily. please make sure to read the info thoroughly (click "show details") before submitting. please give the staff up to 3 days before approving your request. you can only submit once, so please make sure to attach ALL your FCW for conversion!
